The Global Sports Network ESPN awarded the best of the Cricket players of the year at the ESPN Cricinfo Awards 2018. Every year ESPN awards players for their performances in the season in multiple categories.

Cheteshwar Pujara was named the Test Batting performance of the year for contributing heavily in India’s historic 2-1 series win at Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah was named the Test Bowling performance of the year for his 6/33 in India’s historic third test win at Melbourne.

Ross Taylor was named the ODI Batting performance of the year for his 181 not-out performance against England in the fourth ODI while being injured at Dunedin.

Kuldeep Yadav was named the ODI Bowling performance of the year for his 6 for 25 performance against England in the first ODI at Nottingham.

Glenn Maxwell was named the T20I Batting performance of the year for his 103 not-out performance against England in the Tri-Series.

Kuldeep Yadav was named the T20I Bowling performance of the year for his 5 for 24 performance against England in the first T20I at Lord’s.

Harmanpreet Kaur was named the Women’s Batting performance of the year for her blistering 103 against New Zealand at Providence in Women’s World T20 2017.

Natalie Sciver was named the Women’s Bowling performance of the year for her three wickets and 20 dot balls which helped England reach the World T20 semi-final.

Australian Women’s Cricket Team captain Meg Lanning was named the Women’s Captain of the year as she had an incredible 20 wins of 21 matches.

Sam Curran was named the Debutant of the year, Calum MacLeod was named the Associate batting performance of the year and Safyaan Sharif was named the Associate Bowling performance of the year.
